I got a Sony Vaio VGC-RB60G Desktop Computer that came with a Intel Graphic Media Accelerator 950 and I want to upgrade the video card, but I don't know which one is compatible. I'm thinking about the evga Geforce 7600GS but I don't know if that's compatible with my computer. Any help will be appreciated.

Do you know if your computer is AGP or PCI-E for the video card slot?

Oh, well in that case, you should be fine with that video card. I think that nVidia makes a agp version of that too. (I cant remember if it the 7600 or 7800) So make sure that it says PCI-E on the box when you get it.

Another question is that I'm also considering the evga 8500GT which is about the same price as the 7600GS, it's an inexpensive one and less expensive than the 7600GT. Is it any good? And which one is better, is it superior than the 7600GT?

Does wattage has anything to do with choosing a video card? Behind the case it says 120-240V something like that.

on the side of the psu & you might have to take tower side panel off to see it is a label stating how many watts the psu has.

If you are into gaming DX10 and all that, you should get the 8500. If not, then I think you should stick with a 7 series graphics card. (The 8500 is better than the 7 series graphics cards by the way)

Also, if you do plan on getting an 8 series card, I would probably want to have at least a 400watt PSU, just to be safe.
