It is weird I updated my computer and Now when I plug in the Maxtor 80GB Hard Drive via the USB it Reads in my computer...But If I restart my computer while the Maxtor is Plugged in It doesn't load with my computer...

How do I fix this so I don't have to keep unplugging and plugging the usb for the Hard Drive Back in...Also Some Files won't delete off the Hard Drive...Why??/

The files that won't delete are Anime Episodes I had from Years ago.

It gives me this ERROR MESSAGE When I try to delete the files...

Cannot Delete Golden Boy: The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error.

This is what it says in my System Info

Would it be possible to change my 80GB Maxtor External from a FAT32 to NTFS or whatever it is called so I could transfer more then 2.0 GB at a time...And can I Change it without deleting the stuff off my hard drive.

not knowing your os on your sytem. try other usb ports if you have them. check device mgr for conflicts. update your drivers.

yes you can switch from fat to ntfs but if its not a boot drive you will lose your data. you have to refromat it. if your not running ntfs system on your system os changing your external drive will do no good.

Remember no matter how much you know someone else knows more than you do!
