I have a fairly old school set up on my desktop PC, my computer only wants to print things in a pink colour, I have tried replacing the printer cartridges and even another printer but things still only get printed in pink! it used to be print in full colour. I haven't tried it on my laptop, as it must be to do with the PC.
my pc has XP,
the printer is a HP deskjet 970Cxi.
Thanks in advance!

if correct you are using a tri-color cartridge & the other colors are empty. when selecting to print something, are you selecting color or black & white?

Printing in colour results in the print being pink. If I print in black and white, there is no print present, I have tried putting a new black cartridge in, and for the sake of it a new colour cartridge. But this doesn't make a difference. Is there anything you could think of?

try the printer on the laptop to see if does it or not. if it does it then is a printer problem but if doesn't do that problem then is a software problem. also try another printer cable.

according to this link you can use either parallel or usb cable so try usb cable. http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/docum...0&lang=en#N1185
