battlefield 2142 on dx2000 mt? (*(*help*)*)

i have a hp compaq dx2000 mt bussiness desktop pc.
i want to play battlefield 2142 on it.

i have run system requirements test www.srtest.com
it says i have above minimum in everything but video card
can some one please recommend a graphics card which is compatibal with both my computer and battlefield 2142. I want the card to be affordable but not laggy up to £50 max.

appears to be a pci card you can use as you don't have agp nor pci/e slots. try ati radeon 9250 videocard

i looked at the supported video cards for bf2142 it doesnt say the
ati radeon 9250 and it says agp or pci/e only
does this mean i need a new computer

well i am newish here and no techy but i have an ati radeon 9250 card and it wont play battlefiled 2 at all, it goes straight to black screen. this is the reason i am also looking for gfx card advice in my post.

what is the specs of your computer as in cpu speed, ram amount, hd capacity?

ram 1.24gb

intel pentium 4

not sure about ?hd?

it is on wndows xp

tobins, my suggestion is to replace just the hp case with it's psu & motherboard with a new standard case, psu & a motherboard that has pci/e 16 slot. if you're cpu is a socket 478 then asus does make a board for that that has both onboard video & pci/e 16 slot for videocards. 1 have 1 of those boards just in case a customer's board dies. can use all other parts from hp computer onto new computer as in drives & ram.

mid tower with 4 5.25" bays & at least 4 3.5" bays. can get it from local computer store.
