Pioneer A04 and TDK 2x DVD-r media problems

Hi all,
I have 2 burners. Sony 500 and Pioneer AO4. I purchases some TDK 2X media at Staples. Burns and plays back from the Sony. When I try to burn on the Pioneer I am getting a power calibration error. Other media burns fine. Firmare is 1.40 lastest from Pioneer. Just checking to see if anyone else is having this problem. The reason I am using the TDK is my Samsung 6060 console DVD player is kind of picky on payback media, and the TDK works great.
