Write error DVD still can't burn

I still can't burn on my dvd ram, i googled it up but i still don't know what to do, pls help me, i'm using Nero, here's my log:

is it a USB drive?
i think that error above means your drive doesnt like the DVDR used, if i remeber correctly?
could try a firmware update to the drive...
also try useing another burn app, what file type you trying to burn? are they vob/ifo/bups? or .nrg or .iso?

I wouldn?t say it?s the disk RITEK G?05 I use them always been on the money I?d say it?s a problem with Nero 7 gave up on version 7 a long time ago works on some computers but on the wider scale doesn?t work on a lot of them might have a bad batch of ritek you never know like its been said try another program first see if it cures the problem

no, its not usb drive,i think i installed the latest firmware, can u check pls? and im trying to burn data dvd so theres a lot of file types in there... pls help me...

Have you tried some different software like suggested just to prove if it?s a problem with Nero or a problem with your computer set up?

try going in device manager and uninstallthe the cdrom device controllers...
as i dont think the drive is being found ok? you need to find if you have DMA set or PIO ?
reboot pc...

yup, i tried cheetah dvd burner coz im afraid to use roxio coz the things that ive read bout it but i still can't burn, it says write error too...

ok, i tried that and burn a data dvd, and it burned successfully at 8x, but just when im about to cry & celebrate, i inserted the dvd again to see if the data did got burned, but it doesn't show the title & it just says cd drive and when i double click it, its just blank... i tried inserting other dvd to test and the drive read it just fine... so pls what's wrong now?pls help me

Have you tried a different brand of disk? Ritek G-05 is what I use like I said but you could have a bad batch this error is usually bad media
There is on this site in the download section a program that checks blank disk?s and tells you who made them what speed they can be burned at etc
Can?t remember what its called you see which one it is when you look in the download section try that and get back to us

I'm back, sorry if didn't replied this past few days coz i'm trying all of you suggestions just for these dvd to burn successfully, and it did!!!YAHOO!!! thank you so much ROTARY & KILLALOT for helping me,thank god for guys like u, i think the problems why my dvd can't burn are: poor media(ur right!!! killalot) ,my burner isn't set as master, and NERO 7(d*mn!!!)...yup, that's it...somehow it has something that won't let me burn successfully,i switch to the earlier version and i can burn w/out a problem...thank you so much...

There is quite a few bugs problems what ever you want to call it still in Nero 7 you have to remember just because a program works fine on one persons computer doesn?t mean its going to work on yours no two people have the same set up so its always best try some different software first its try and error you have to eliminate one thing at a time golden rule though don?t try and save a few quid by using cheap shite unbranded media always use good disk?s glad you got it sorted .
