I just purchased a Optorite +- burner and used Nero 6 as the burning software. I made a DVD and it played in every DVD player I could lay my hands on. The one place I really needed it to work, it didnt. We have a Chevy Venture with the entertainment package. My friend works in a car dealership and tried in several vehicles there and none of them worked. Is this a media problem. Im new at this so any help would greatly be appreiciated

Not sure what a Chevy Venture is but I assume you are talking about in car DVD player? You need to check whether it is designed to play DVD-R and not just DVD-Video.

It could be related to the software. I have a honda pilot with the dvd entertainment package (which is a panasonic in real life) which would not play my xcopy backups. I changed my method to DVD Shrink and that works great. Try to find out who the original manufacturer of the dvd player is and check the compatibility.

-r is probably the right one to try, but you may have to try different setups. It could also be media related.

Might sound stupid, but try a -rw as well.

Have you tried different types of disc? You should at least try a Ritek Gen4 and a Princo.

I have same DVD player in Pontiac van and use DVD-r discs. Dont put labels on them as they will throw them out of balance and freeze or not play.I use DVD Decrypter, DVD2One, CopytoDVD. Ritek 2X and 4X media both work
