Copying DVD-R to a DVD+

My DVD camera records on DVD-R, however my computer (only accepts DVD+R) won't recognize DVD-R to copy it on to my hard drive. Help....

I can't think of any drive made that cannot read DVD-R. If it is involved in any way with DVDs, it must read DVD-R discs according to the DVD Forum.

A possibility may be that you are not finalizing the 8cm discs in the camcorder or that your player software does not read the DVD-VR format. Check your manuals.

there a lot of dvd roms pre three ago that won't read DVD-R, what you are needing to do is eather get a newer dvd rom or if you have a friend that has a newer system just copy the DVD-R to a DVD+R
