Hello everyone, firstly im sorry if this in the wrong area, my brother has a problem with his PC, one day, he watching a Youtube clip and all of a sudden the screen whent toally blank - all white, he's tried switching the PC off from the back and the plug, when he tries putting the PC back on the PC just keeps beeping before the start up page comes up, usually its only meant to beep once, it keeps beeping and nothing happens, another thing is that when he presses the shutdown button the computer shuts off immediately rather than after a while like it used to when it worked....Any ideas how he could fix this?

I dont know if it helps but there is a sequence of 8 beeps, and then 3 more, also the LED changes colour...anyone know how to fix this?

could be bad ram, messed up bios, bad psu or bad capacitors on the motherboard. try 1 stick of ram at a time. ceck the can shaped objects on the motherboard that are capacitors that they are flat topped & not domed. try another psu just to test the motherboard without the drives connected. try clearing the cmos to see if that might clear the problem.
