I was installing a flip top and the reset/eject came loose from the ps2 motherboard. Unfortunately I have no idea where to plug it back in, or even how to get to the motherboard. I would appreciate someone walking me through this, especially if they had pictures to go along with it.

Ah, I see. Do I have to take off that final faceplate to get it back in?

By the final faceplate do you mean the bottom plastic cover? If that then yes. It comes out easily, just take out the screw by the controller ports and the one by the fan in the back and take it out slowly, it may be a good idea to tape the controller port to the board because once you unscrew it then they hang by a wire similar to the reset/eject cable wire.

Actually, I meant the metal plate you can see in the bottom portion of the picture.

No you do not need to take that out (depending on the version of your PS2) You should just be able to use a small flat screwdriver and push the cable in by pushing on the blue tab on the cable. Be careful, this is a very delicate cable.

That worked great, thanks for the advice. My PS2 is back in working condition.
