Hi there

I was wondering if any one can help me out here. I've splitted a Mpeg movie file into 2 parts using DVTool, but after splitting the file into two parts, the second part of the file doesn't play. The first part can be played but the second part can't be. Every time when I try to play the second part in Media Player, it comes up with an error saying: ClassFactory cannot supply requested class.

Any ideas?

Try to use Elecard MPEG2 Decoder/Demuxer http://www.elecard.com/download/

I know, I'm a newbie at this. But not with comps though ^^ .

99% that your problem not in mpeg splitter, but in decoder, that you are using to playback splitted movie. Elecard will play it.
Elecard player (registered version) can also cut part of mpeg movie and save it to another location.

I'm actually want to make a VCD out of these 2 parts. Will the 2nd part work if I copy it on a cd and play it in the DVD machine? Or do I still need to download Elecard to fix it?

I had the same problem with the second parts of svcd files I split with DV Tool - and I tried many different versions of it. I suggest you try another program to split the mpeg file - for example TMPGEnc using its "merge and cut" (which splits both vcd/mpeg1 and svcd/mpeg2 files) or a program like Easy Video Splitter.
