We have a omnibook 6000 DO NOT have BIOS password is there anything we can do besides calling HP and paying 39.95 for a piece of paper to fax back to them to get a phone call from HP to get a bios password to overide that one

Do you know what type of BIOS it is? (Phenox, Award)?

Try the password phoenix. This is usually a master password for these types of BIOS's.
You could also try this utility if you can boot the computer up or if you have a floppy drive and access to boot from it.
