Hello all,
I hope this is the rigth place to ask this.
I've created a DVD-Video with DVD-Lab PRO 2 and it works fine. Now I want to add to the disc another directory with some other files (some docs, a pair of images such as the covers, some MP3s). The additional directory should be transparent to DVD Player but should be accessible to PC OS.
Any suggestions?
This is from an old thread on Afterdawn.
At the time I noted the solution, but I'm sorry I didn't note the name of the poster.
I tried it and it works.
Author your DVD to a File folder ?VIDEO_TS? (note the capitals).
Boot Nero Burning Rom and on the ?Wizard? screen select ?DVD-Video? then ?New?.
The Wizard clears and the screen is divided into two parts.
On the right side file-browser panel, open the folder containing the video files.
Select all of the files in the folder and drag them to the left panel and drop them in the open ?VIDEO_TS? folder.
This folder will only contain the files from the ?VIDEO_TS? folder on the right panel.
Next, select data files or folders from the right panel as required and drop them on the left panel (not in the VIDEO_TS folder).
When ready, click ?Burn? and create the new Video/Data disk.
The disk will play as a regular DVD movie disk on the standalone player.
A PC will be able to play the DVD (with appropriate software) and read the data files.
If I understood it right, I've to create DVD-Video with 3 subdirectory,
AUDIO_TS, VIDEO_TS and OTHER (or another name). Is it right?
I've tried with Nero Express and the software forbid me to add other file types (even in directory other than VIDEO_TS) so I've tried UltraISO to edit a previosly built ISO (made with Nero), both ISOs are UDF. It seems to work but when I put the disc in a XBOX equipped with XBOX MEDIA CENTER it plays only if a manually select .vob file (or .ifo file, I don't remember now).
This assumes that you have a standard DVD folder on the HDD.
Run Nero Burning ROM.
On the left side of the panel choose DVD-VIDEO then NEW.
The new window opens;on the left will be two folders for the new DVD.
Open the VIDEO_TS folder on the HDD and drag the contents into the VIDEO_TS folder on the left.
At this point you could burn the new DVD, but you want to add other files (folders, whatnot) to the left side (but not in the VIDEO_TS folder).
Add the new files (taking care that you don't go over the maximum for the disk) and burn.
