I was downloading a file using BitComet and while it was downloading, I accidentally copied the file to my external hard drive.
I transferred the file because I was putting all the important documents and whatnot to my external hard drive because I was reformatting my internal hard drive.
The file continued to download and eventually finished, but there's an incomplete BitComet file in my external HD.
I reformatted my internal HD, installed BitComet and can't resume the incomplete file from my external HD.
So the question is, how do you resume an incomplete BitComet file given the circumstances mentioned above?
Thanks in advance ;)
P.S. I don't want to download it again because it's half a gig (I'm running out of internet usage, internet speed isn't that fast and I'm a cheap bastard =P )
I read some articles on the internet about this, and I came across something called "Manual Hash Check". So here's what I did:
I opened the torrent, set the directory to where the file was and right-clicked on the task, selected "Manual Hash Check" and BitComet said that the percentage completed was 1.8%. I thought this was stupid cos the file was approximately 597 MB and the incomplete file was 593.1 MB. Hmm.... that's not right...
