I don't know if anyone can help me with this question or not. I know that everyone keeps telling me that mid's are (polyphonic)and that they are not real music for ring tones. Buy why is it that you can buy them from the phone carriers and others that sell ringtones, but you can't make them? I did buy one, but would like to be able to make my own.

So no one can tell me how the cell-phone company's can make the midi out of songs, and make them into ringtones?
