the cpu should run at 38-40 when idel, but 45is ok, you can overclock until the system runs too hot or is unstable

between 2.6 and 3.0ghz depending on how cool it stays(read how much voltage you need to feed your cpu) but this will also depend on how warm you are comfortable having your cpu running. i dont think you will get it to stay stable much above 3.ghz on a stock cooler.

you have some very good parts there that should oc very nicly but you really do want to get an aftermarket heat sink for your cpu as it will help you oc further and will keep your cpu even cooler than stock.

We shall go to the end,we shall fight in France,we shall fight on the seas and oceans,we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air,we shall defend our Island, whatever the cost may be,we shall fight on the beaches,we shall fight on the landing grounds,we shall fight in the fields and in the streets,we shall fight in the hills;we shall never surrender

Specific to this case, the best thing you can do is to replace your CPU cooler. If you're not confident in doing that, it will unfortunately limit your overclock due to temperatures. Read up on our official thread for the method and some case examples.

Can I recommend an Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro, or Thermalright Ultra 120?
