Hi Guys,

From the heading you'd think it was a simpnle thing hey....

Not for me, upon entering either Nero Express or Nero Burning ROM and selecting the add file feature, a message pops up saying

"Server Busy" This action cannot be completed because the other programe is busy. Choose 'Switch To' to activate the busy program and correct the problem. And gives me the choice of either 'switch to' or 'retry'.

Problem is im not running any other programs that i know of and this wont go away, hense my frustration level have hits the roof, as i dont know what to do or how to fix it.

I have removed and renstalled Nero 7 from fresh about 3 times now only to get the same problem.

This is only a recent problem when i used it several weeks ago it was fine, so I really hope that someone can help.

obviously there is a clash happening here..... some program you might have installed since Nero was put on your machine! Now I know that Roxio/Sonic don't mix very well with Nero.... do you have these program on there? if you do uninstall Roxio/Sonic from your computer and run the Zapper after the uninstall: http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/Uninstallers/Roxio-Zap.shtml

when you did uninstall Nero did you use the cleaning tool after the uninstall and before you reinstalled it? you can try to uninstall and then use the cleaning tool: http://www.nero.com/nero7/eng/Nero_7_Clean_Tool.html
then reinstall Nero 7.

also....... I found something interesting when doing a Google search for Server Busy Nero Error and this came up: http://www.videohelp.com/forum/archive/s...ro-t283307.html

some one said to do this, and it sounds real good:
In other softwares the problem is associated with Norton anti-virus specifically script blocking part of it. You need to disable script blocking and when prompted say "Yes" to allow the script. Could be access violation too.
I would go a little further..... you can shut off your anti-virus software and see if that works... or configure your personal firewall to permit Nero. Check out your anti-virus and personal firewall settings....a lot of the times they interfere with programs until you set them to permit the programs to work!

if this doesn't help I would do a system restore to a previous date when your computer was running Nero just fine.

Thanks for that info.

I have downloaded the Roxio/Sonic thingy, as i dont think i have any programes for them, but i'll use it as a just in case thing.

I have also downloaded the nero 7 Cleaner, as i have not used it before, so i'll try that too.

Unfortuantly, i did a system clean up and deleted most of the old 'system restore dates' a few days ago, so the oppertunity of going back to the date i remeber it working can not be achived, so any further assistance would be fantastic guys.

If i do continue to have problems i will leve the post open, unitl we get the solution.

Regards, Jonathan

Thanks for the info and the extra too.

I have done all that you have suggested twice over, nut the problem is still there im going insain, so frustrating.

I am unable to revert my system to when it was working properly last, as i cleaned up my hard drive and previous restor points were deleted. I have also removed any program that i considered to be a conflict, but still no help.

Please can someone else help me in this situation.

Regards, jon

sorry that didn't work for you..... you must have more going on there than what it appears to be. try googling more and see if others have the same problem as you. good luck to you.
