Everybody knows that all Nintendo consoles are made of Nintendodium- the hardest element known to man.

But if you want to open it up then you'll need a tri-wing screwdriver.

yeah you'll need a tri wing screw driver that you'll most likely have to buy online. I've tried home depot and they have nothing.

But snapped in half!!! OW!...Seems like it would be hard to fix...tell me what your results are!

Unfortunately...I do not have any links or information to share at this moment. :D

I can tell you from experience that fixing a broken ds when cracked in half is a difficult fix. First you need to find the ribbon cable the connects the top screen to the mother board, which is a good $10-$15. Then you need a new case, the tri-wring screw driver, and then it may not even work. Just be careful that you know what your investing in.

Just sell it as spare part, and get ur self a used DS Lite. If the middle of the DS has been separate, put them together will take time.

ok well i bought a new case and new ribbon. the ribbon arrived a few days earlier, and when i was playing around with it i did manage to get it all working but alas in the broken ds shell. however when i tried to put it all in the new case it now doesnt work. the problem i encounter is thus; when i pres the power the green lights comes on, but dim. all within a few seconds, the green light gets brighter, and the bottom ds screen comes on white, but then just as quickly it shuts off. there is nothing on the top screen. this is the best i can describe it unfortunately, sorry if it is vague. has anyone got any ideas as of how to fix it?

thanks again
