Hey guys one of my older PCs is a Compaq SR1120NX, product specs can be found here. Since it is a Compaq most of the advanced options in the BIOS are locked, and needless to say it makes my PC pretty restricted for overclocking(and for other stuff, hell I had to adjust VRAM in the BIOS just to get Linux to work).

Anyway, I was wondering if there was any way I could overclock it from Windows? My motherboard is a MSI MS-6577.

The only tools that do it well come with motherboards with which you could use the BIOS anyway, and the components inside won't be of sufficient quality to overclock anyway, I'd give it a miss.

yeah, but i'd be surprised if you got more than 5% out of it. I'm not saying don't try, but don't expect much, and try to stick to the BIOS.

What do I try it with? I got this program called CPUFSB and it said it overclocked the FSB to 153 Mhz, but it remained unchanged in CpuZ.
