Or at least that's what I think it is, I just bought a Hanns-G 19" Widescreen Monitor for my PC and for about 20 seconds it works perfectly. But after that 20 Seconds it gets these colorful verticle bars in the right hand side of the screen. Does this indicate that it's broken and I need to send it back for exchange or does it have anything to do with software?

BTW, I'm using a normal VGA cable and am running XP x64.

If your old monitor works fine, then yes, the monitor needs to be returned.
