I have been using RITEKG - 05 for years with no problems. But the last batch that I got, there have been a few coasters. Here is my Nero log, is my problem with the media?

I've noticed more than one Nero log recently where these Ritek coded disks are featured.
Perhaps some Verbatims will help.

What is the rated speed?
Failure at this speed sounds unbelievable! Must be duds...
(but you could try another speed?)

Used ritek G-05 for years had no problems something worth trying is reduce your target size you are burning Wright to the edge of the disk worth a try not recommended to burn no more then 4350 mb on a single layer disk

Thanks for the replys.

Zapattack,
They are x8 discs. I've always burned at x4, half of the rated speed of the disc.

killalot,
Not all of the discs produce this problem. Of this 50 spindle, I've had 7 problem discs.

If you?ve only had 7 bad burns out of 50 wouldn?t worry to much maybe just had a few duffers with that batch

I was thinking the same thing. Well over 1000 discs with maybe 10 coasters, I guess no media is perfect. Just making sure the problem is with the media and not something else.

Anybody understand this?? OOOPS, not relevant!

Sounds like it might relate to burning right to the edge. I seem to recall a comment about warping at the edge causing problems. Worth a try to burn a bit less?
