I heard that my Nokia 6300 may be unlockable, but I hope someone here can help me

Make/model phone: Nokia 6300b (type RM-222)
IMEI #: 354827011538947
Country the phone is locked in: Canada
Provider the phone is locked to: Fido

Thank you but I was hoping that as it was an old thread (Oct. 2006) some new developments would have come up by now. I did contact Fido but they refused to give me the unlock code. Any suggestions?

Yeah, so only Fido can give me the code to unlock the phone. Anyone know what kind of reasons to give Fido so that they would let me unlock my phone? Thanks
