Volume to low on burned DVD's - why?

The last few DVD's I've burned using Nero have unacceptable low speech volume, yet the sound effects are disproportionately loud.

I remember reading on another forum some time ago about someone having this same problem but I can't track it down or remember how to correct it.

How do I correct this? Thanks.

the problem is not nero what dvds are you burning? how are you playing the dvds more info
