I have a 2 year old Linksys Router Model WRT54G
I have 2 computers that are on wireless and one day, couldn't connect to my wireless anymore, so I figure it's my router, not the computers. However, there are some steps I took that don't make sense to me, if my router is in fact shot. So, here are the trouble shoot steps I tried

Firstly I tried to obtain an IP address. I got a valid ip address. Then I release the Ip and renewed it and same IP. Seemed to work fine. My windows wireless connection saids "connected to Linksys, signal strength strong. 54 Mbps. So it seems like my laptop recognizes my router, just doesn't get any connections from it. I am able to send packets but I don't receive any. I am at a total loss here, and I'm about to buy a new router. Do you guys have any further trouble shooting steps?

uninstall the wireless card in device manager then restart windows so it can find new hardware & load it's driver.
