TMPGEnc Plus freezes when trying to encode a split AVI

Hi all,

I am sure I must be doing something wrong but I can't figure it out.

I have an AVI which I have split in half using VirtualDub 1.6. When I try to encode the new split AVI's to MPEG using TMPGEnc Plus it program freezes and needs to be reset.

The original AVI file encodes just fine. I think I am splitting the file incorrectly ...... from m understanding I need to have "K" frames at the beginning and end of each split AVI?? I think I am doing this (by holding down 'shift' when cueing the AVI) and looking for the "K" indicator on the frame count - but still no joy??

Am I missing something? Thanks in advance for any advice.
