Not sure if this is the right place for this question. I have burnt around 6 or 700 movies with an external DVD burner. It is starting to error lately. I can't remember what the exact message is but I looked it up yesterday and it is saying the lazer can't read the disc. Is that a lot of movies to burn on a burner, or could it be the media? I have maxell dvd's that usually work but aren't and I tried another brand last night and it did the same thing.
Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated....

first make sure you firmware is up to date.

then go pick up some verbatims and try those

and if those dont work, it might be time for a new burner.
