Unable to play Zelda: Phantom Hourglass on G6

Has anyone else had this problem? My backup boots fine from the slot 2 G6, but then goes to black screen. At first, it actually displayed a message after booting, stating that it was unable to read from the cart and to please reinsert the game. After upgrading firmware, I was able to reach that wonderful black screen instead! I have heard that there may be an issue with the size of the save files that the game creates, but remain relatively in the dark on this matter. I have tried safe mode and using an uncircumcised (untrimmed) version of the game as well. It is the Japanese version of the game. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

also http://www.mytgn.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=8967&page=2#19 says it works on G6.

PS, I dont own a G6

I'm having a problem with this game as well. I've gotten quite far, but in the hourglass castle I cannot go down more than 2 floors before getting a blank screen. I have an R4 and recently updated the firmware.
