I've seen similar threads, but none that specifically fit my problem, so apologies if some of this seems familiar.
Firstly, I was having a problem where Nerovision 4 would inform me that my files (in this case MPEGs) would fit on a disc, but after transcoding, would ask for a larger disc. I overcame this problem by burning to the hard drive first, and then to DVD using Nero recode.
However, I have been having real sound sync problems with a particular MPEG. It plays fine all the way through on all my various pieces of video viewing software, but once burnt to DVD through Nerovision, the sound is a fraction of a second out, then after fifteen minutes or so, the picture begins to freeze. Skipping forward through chapters edges the picture on, still freezing, and minutes out of sync with the sound.
If I then transcode the MPEG with Nerovision, but burn to the hardrive, I find that exactly the same thing takes place in the first VOB file, but the other VOB files have perfect sound, but no video at all.
Can anybody work out what is going on, and the best way to solve this?
Now the files are in a DVD folder and synced, Nero should not have any problems with it.
Start Nero vision and add the VOB files.
Merge the VOB's (may not be required) after they are loaded then create chapters.
Start the video and drag the slider, clicking the chapter marker button at five minute intervals.
