I've narrowed it down to two.

Sony VAIO - $880 CDN

HP Pavilion - $900 CDN

Which seems the better value? I want something small, easy to carry around for Uni, and with nice battery life. Of course, I want the better performance as well. Thanks.

Agreed, the Vaio is better.
The performance isn't too different, just the vaio has the faster processor, neither of them can play games, I assume that's not a problem?
