My works at times, but then it randomly restarts during operation. Sometimes when it restarts it doesn't start up again, screens stay black and harddrives don't spin up (no beeps either).
I have tried removing all the pci cards, the video card, the disk drives (hard and cd/dvd) the ram and tried reseating the cpu with no avail. I have also tried setting the bios options to default and optimal with no effect. The jumper switch for bios recovery mode doesn't seem to do anything either when the computer is dead. But then at times the computer works fine.
Any suggestions?
I swapped out the PSU with one from another computer, and well, bad news. Still happens...
Maybe this psu is faulty too? My other computer has been known to shut down and do nothing also when I pushed the power button, and switching it on after many hours (with resets to the power switch on the psu) would get the computer working again. I thought it was from overheating issues in the computer, even though having 5 fans in the computer didn't help it much.
I swapped out for a new PSU and problem still persists. One of the first things I checked was for popped caps and they all appear to be fine. No other signs of damage on the motherboard.
I guess my mainboard is edited by ddp? Any way to check that for sure before I go out and buy a new one?
