Every one of my DVDR medias plays just fine in my home theatre dvd unit. And a majority of them play in my 5+year old dvd player. The DVD player says error or playback feature not enabled or something to that degree.

I let my father in law use my dvds and he couldn't watch hardly any of them at all on any of his dvd players.

Do some players not support some of today's newer burn-at-home methods?

I am currently using a brand new dvd burner (up to date), clonedvd2+anydvd, and Memorex dvdrs.

Thanks in advance.

try using better media(memorex isn't your best choice) like Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim if you use the DVD plus R booktype them to DVD-ROM or use the DVD dash R format(thats what i use no problems on any player ever using the Taiyo Yudens)

burn at 8x max also no faster. try 6x or 4x if your having problems

no clonedvd 2 won't booktype the media for you

you can do it within your drives software or use dvd decrypter. if you need further help with it shoot me back

Ok.. I found out my drive for my new computer is an LG brand. I used your picture and a prior post on this site. This was my result:

The only thing though... when I selected dvd+r it already had dvd-rom as setting to convert it to. Although I realized I havn't really burned any discs on this computer yet, just my old one. Guess I will have to see if I have any problems from here on out.

heres my question. Do I have to use dvddecrytper now? Or can I proceed with my slysoft programs? I wasn't sure if I have to use dvd decryptor each time I burn to make sure the dvd-rom setting takes effect, or if it is a permanent change I just made.

your drive is now set to booktype your +R media to DVD-ROMs! You don't have to use any one program to achieve this and you don't have to worry about resetting this all the time you use your burner.... it's set! So enjoy now! you just made your +R media more compatible to most DVD players and drives! success!

no you don't have to use dvd decrypter after you booktype the media open clonedvd 2 transcode and burn and your set
