I have a Compaq presario v2000 and I'm going to format the hard drive and I want to run Windows Vista Ultimate on it, I have the 64bit version, and the Compaq has a Intel Pentium M 710 -- 1.4 GHz cpu, but I can't boot the thing until I install vista but does anyone know what bit that cpu is? Thanks!

has nothing to do with the cpu bit but the windows bit as in 32 bit or 64 bit. how much ram do you have on the laptop as is supposedly 512meg? another thing is have some patience as we do this on our own we free time including us mods.

A quick trip to Wikipedia. Go ahead, don't be afraid, you can click on the link. So no you can't use Vista 64 bit.

Whoohoo, see now you aren't contributing anything. If you had clicked on the link it would have told you they are only 32-bit. Now we are even.

No hard feeling, I'm just kidding.

Well pardon me, I thought you'd only told him to go to wikipedia and not provided a link, because what with the increase in Auto-hyperlinks now, loads of things come up as hyperlinks anyway.
