Yeah it will work. Still you should probably consider getting a Core 2 Duo instead of the Pentium D.

Then why get a relatively expensive motherboard? If sure you could find a cheaper one.

Exactly, plenty of motherboards can be found for US $80 or less and they would be just fine for your purpose. What specs are important to you? AGP 8x? DDR2?

Just make sure it's covered by warranty.

Which are the ebay articles? Not all motherboards need be expensive, but not all motherboards are any good.

I wouldn't mind seeing which item it is so I know whether it's any good or not.

I was buying the Gigabyte Ga-965p-ds3 off eBay and I called them up and made sure I would be covered by the warranty. Turns out mine was DOA and they replaced it for free.

well, DOA, and hence sold on ebay. This is why I only buy things off ebay that have warranties.

Well actually I got it refurbished from Mwave. Which means some guy bought it, it didn't work for him he sent it back and they sold it as refurbished to me.

Man I love warranties.

Yup cheap components, when under warranty that are guaranteed to work, or the company replaces them for you. Seriously though 67 dollars for that board was a good deal.
