OK, I'm using Azureus and i just installed it a couple weeks ago on a new laptop.
I've used it for years on a PC and a different laptop with no problems, I set up all the port forwarding and opened the necessary ports.
Basically, Azureus gets a NAT error every time i connect through ethernet, but works when i connect wirelessly, but then out of nowhere i start getting a NAT error again in the middle of downloads.
It's like it just decides to stop working whenever it wants, and i don't know how to fix it, i was away from home and when i came back it connected again with no problem after this problem had occurred, but now it's doing it again.
I think the problem has something to do with Azureus checking my IP, because it uses a different IP when it gives me a NAT error.
I think i could maybe change my static IP in my modem to use a certain IP for everything, but I'm not sure... does anyone know what is wrong with it, and could help?
About a month ago I had the same problem, I could'nt fix it so I switched to U-Torrent and have been very happy since then. If you look at the threads there are a lot of people having problems with azureus. Some people say u-torrent is'nt safe, but I live in canada and are protected from the prosicution of filesharing.
ok, i downloaded uTorrent and it seems to be doing the same thing... this is the most frustrating garbage I've ever encountered. basically it's saying that my IP is a certain number, when it's something completely different... uTorrent and Azureus were both checking the wrong IP so it's not working with port forwarding. also for some reason my router/modem is set up with WAN, and i can't disable it.. i don't even know why it's using WAN. I'm using a Westell Versalink 327W Modem/Router if that helps. also, I've tried Static IP and it doesn't work...
