Currently using Azerus but suspect it has some to do with lock up issues. So I seek another that does what it promises and does not load me with adds or spyware. The only feature I NEED is to d/l and see where it is going, how long it will take and what files are on the way.

I just like the rapidshare downloader because my download speed is much faster for my computer. I download bit torrent files and everything else with this as my default downloader program.

It's suspected that BitLord has adware built in, which sucks.

I love uTorrent because it's so small and user-friendly, but with the recent buy-out by BitTorrent, it's probably going to be heavily monitored.

uTorrent is probably your best bet if you play it safe, but if you don't like using the enemy's stuff, try Azureus. I've also heard incredible things about BitTyrant.

And (sorry to double-post) BitTyrant was developed by a bunch of college professors. It increases download speeds by about 70% according to Wikipedia.

I think it's worth a try.
