Is it possible for a monitor to give you a headache?

I bought a new monitor, and i sit in front of it and my head starts to hurt.... Walk away and i feel fine after a few minutes...

any advice, comments?

After a few years of sitting in front of a CRT monitor, you can develop eye strain that's for sure. As far as CRT's go, it's a matter of refresh rates and above all the Quality. (excluding the radiation...lol)

If your talking about LCD screens and you still get fatigue, then either cut down on viewing times (admittedly not always possible) or seek out the phsyiological symptoms. IE: suitable eye wear and the like.

Avoid using maximum brightness with LCDs, and don't sit RIGHT in front of them.

I work online so between business and pleasure i am on my computer allot.
