Basically for under $3500 What would get or build , i dont care if its a PC or A MAC (edited by ddp)Iam not here doing the old PC vs Mac you like what you like.

Anyway just trying to get some ideas on a decent rig that will you into hi-def generation easily. I am well aware that some of you run really serious rig already. but this thread anit all that serious if you plan on winning the lotto, list what you want to.


While let me get started, Srry iam to lazy to to build a PC ,i dont have the time blah blah blah , So i would go with a custom order from HP.

Hp Pavillion Notebook ( dont stay home enough for a desktop)
- intel extreme core 2 ( x7800)
-17 screen
-HDMI card
-4G Ram
- 100G HDDx2 7200rpm
-HD_DVD-Multi Drive
-Nvidia Graphics card
- Windows Xp SP2
it works it comes in just under 3500 on the Hp site but you dont get XP you get Vista i dont really like vista
