I am also having the same problem with Nero. I switched from Memorex to Sony DVD-R 4.7 1x-16x. And same problem. I do remember updating the firmware the burner if it was the correct firmware even. I uninstalled then reinstalled the Nero the latest version. However, I have successfully burned two movies previously with Sony DVD-RW. Now this. I noticed a lot threads for this problem...but hoping that someone could catch something else that I haven't yet. Please Help!

Try updating your firmware to 1.07 RPC1 from here: http://liggydee.cdfreaks.com/page/en/NEC-ND-1300A/
I think the problem is due to the age of your drive, the firmware updates are older as well as your drive and together they just can't cope with the newer media that is on the market. You may be able to find some older Taiyo Yuden or Verbtim that are 8X at http://www.supermediastore.com and it may or may not fix your problem, but at any rate I can see a new drive in your near future. Other than using two forms of Nero 7 I didn't really see anything of significance in your log.

It would make it easier on you to upgrade your ram to a gig, but it isn't the source of this problem.
