I was wondering what is a good free CD ripping program?

I just got a new pair of headphones and when i plug them in my speakers or even directly into my pc i hear fuzz in the backround. This does not happen on my laptop or mp3 player. is the problem with my intergrated audio or is there software that could help?

there is only ONE program you should use to rip your CDs. EAC (exact audio copy). it is what other cd rippers try to be. its the only ripper that as error correction that can do a 100% accurate rip of an audio CD. when combined with the LAME mp3 encoder plugin using the proper VBR settings, you will create the highest quality mp3s possible. see the guide in my sig below for step by step instructions on how to setup and properly configure EAC and LAME

For the best quality mp3s use EAC (exact audio copy) to rip your audio CDs and LAME to encode them. Follow this guide:
