Trouble transcoding in Nero Vision 4

Hey, I've been having trouble for some time now with Nero Vision 4. When I attempt to burn some AVIs it never gets past the first stage.

Test the files with this program to see if they convert.

Import the file(s) (AVI, WMV,MPEG, VOB)
Output (standard DVD file format) to a folder on the HDD.
Set 'Aspect' to 4:3 (if you have a regular tv)
Set 'Standard' to NTSC (if you live in North America)

I converted it with that program and burned it using Nero Vision 4 and it worked. But I'd really like to skip the middle man and have Nero just convert it on the fly and then burn it.

Nero used to do this, I don't know what happened to it.

(This isn't the first time this error has occured. Nero Vision hasn't been able to transcode anything for the past few months.

Nero uses 90+% cpu against 45% cpu with Divx on my PC.
You could check that you are not multitasking while transcoding or even making sure that the CPU is not getting too hot.
