DVDFab HD Decrypter would be it. Free and is still updated to handle the newer copy protections.

I totally agree. There's nothing better, IMO, in the freeware arena out there.

Pete917, edit your sig to conform to forum specs ASAP. you have 9 lines not 5 as pr rules.
1. Text-only signatures should have at most 5 lines of text.

They're 2 separate apps. But you can process the files ripped by DVDFab w/ Shrink.
After DVDFab is done ripping just open those files in Shrink.

On some of the newer movies, after I write the file to HD with DVD
FabDecrypter I run it through FixVTS before I write an ISO with
Shrink. I've tried the same movie both with and without FixVTS and
Shrink writes the ISO file a little faster after FixVTS. The place
it really shows the difference is in the burning process. I usually
use Imgburn. On the ISO done with out FixVTS the buffers fluctuate
quite a bit during burning. On the ISO done with FixVTS there is
no fluctuation. Discs done both ways play fine for me.

I haven't downloaded DVD Fab yet but I'm thinking about it because I'm getting a lot of error messages on DVDs I've ripped with DVD Decrypter.
My question is, does DVD Fab also have a burning mechanism? I've used DVD Decrypter to burn all of my discs up until now.

Any info would be great, thanks!

DVDFab Platinum and Gold will also burn.

If you use the free version - dvdfab hd decrypter it doesn't have a burn engine but you can rip w/ that then run those files thru DVD Shrink and still use Decrypter to burn.

For that error you're getting (peeked at the post) - have you tried clicking on re-author in Shrink then dragging over the title listed under main movie?
