Hope someone can help. I've been successful converting and burning most all store bought dvds (TV series, new movies, etc.).The quality is excellent - dvd to avi to cd. There are a couple dvds that are sort of cheaply produced (instructional, special events) that I am trying to copy, but there are skips in the audio and the audio lags far behind. I've tried many different settings in the input and output, but nothings seems to change it. Any ideas??????

you could try dropping the speed of your burner to half of what it says on the disc ie if it says 8x then burn it at 4x
