now with nero or image burn i can only burn at 12x or 16x
burner going bad ?
even at 16x read errors

Are you sure your drive is gone? I would try to uninstall it in device manager and reboot and see if that helps. After then uninstall/reboot make sure DMA is turned back on. If your lost google device manager and google or search this site on how to turn DMA on.
