Hello forum,
I recently bought a "LG 18X Super Multi DVD Rewriter" model GSA-H54L. Here is my problem: everytime I want to burn a DVD it automatically burns at 4x. I tried setting the burn speed manually but it defaults at 4x. It does the job but at much slower rate. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

These discs don't have the best track record and your new drive may not be seeing the discs properly. Check LG's website for firmware updates if any are available and try again, if you still get no joy you may need to try some nice Verbatims.

Well I got my hands on some Verbatims and what a difference, it burned at 16x (which made my project even faster!)! Princo's will no longer be used by me. Thanks for the usefull information :O)
