Hello every 1, my problem is pretty simple and might have happened to some people before me, I have had this image of FFX on my PC for more than 1 year, and last night I said to my self how about I burn it ? so I placed an empty DVD+R in my DVD RW and started NERO when I was surprised to see that it doesn't see MDF format,so I converted the image to NGR and so I began the burn process on 4x speed, after it finished I popped the DVD in my PS2, the cinematic played normally until it reaches a in-game scene and then it freezes, what I wanna know exactly is why did this happen? Could it be from the burning speed? The type of the image? The quality of the DVD? Thanks for your help.

Could be any of the things you mentioned. Try buring the mdf with Imgburn and see if there is any difference. Also check your manufactures website for a firmware update for your burner. What brand discs are you using?

I suspect your discs aren't showing a high degree of compatability with your hardware. Let me suggest Verbatim for the next go 'round, Imations aren't held in high regard as blank media of choice.

that's odd, i'd have thought Verbatim were at least known virtually everywhere, even if not available everywhere. If Imation's your best media, that's bad luck.. maybe it's the way you wrote the DVD...
edit- PS2 lasers can be very picky btw...
edit again- appalling sentence

But they aren't doing so well now. Have you checked on the firmware update yet? Did you try Imgburn? If so post a log please.
