Nero Vision Video Capture Problems

Hello everyone. I am having some issues with Nero Vision when I try to capture video from a VHS tape. Here's whats going on. I have an external (USB) Pinnacle Dazzle video capture device. I dont really like the software that came with it so I tried using Nero Vision. The first time I tried using it, the video looked great but there wasn't any sound. I reinstalled the software and the next time I ran it, the video capture was choppy and there was still no sound. Any suggestions?

I am running the program using a Dell Inspiron 1505 lap top
It has Intel Core 2 PCU
T5500 @ 1.66HHz
2.00 GB RAM

I don't know for sure, but I might guess you removed some codec needed to capture. Perhaps it was a Pinnacle one so you might need to reinstall some of that software.

If your first attempt produced good video but no audio, perhaps you did not have some audio input enabled, or you needed an additional audio imput/cable for Nero to capture it. It may also have been related to some codec.

I might try doing a basic Pinnacle install to get the capture device working and then try again. Open up the audio panel and make sure you have the specific audio capture device enabled.
