Editing and Adding bookmarks to homemade old movies?

I have some old movies - from when i was a kid that i converted to mpeg videos. Ever program i've tried to add bookmarks and fix errors seems to unlink the audio and the video. Any suggestions?

MysticE: Unlink means unsyncs the sound and video - in other words when you see someones mouth move there is no speech til a moment later!
