Hi there,
I have a movie in .DAT format, it plays totally fine. But there are 3 segments of the film that I would like to remove. One segment is only about 25 seconds, the other 2 are about 1 minute long.
Can anyone please advise me on the best program to split/edit these parts out?
Thanks a lot!

Thanks so much,
I have renamed the DAT to .mpg, and it plays fine. But when I go to browse, and try to Load the file and select 'Source Range', it wont let me load the file. It says "file C://......mpg can not open, or unsupported".
Do you have any ideas?
Thanks again, so much. Can I repay you anyway?

Assuming the file has been renamed 'mpg', run TMPGEnc and follow the steps in the previous post, just be sure to select 'VCD' from the Wizard screen.

Im getting the .DAT file from movie.bin. So shall I burn it to DVD, then use DVDShrink to rip it into AVI? then use TMPG, edit it, and re-burn?

This has now created a .mpg file and allowed me to add it to TMPG.
attar - bless you, many many blessings. If I can repay you let me know.
