Hey everyone, I've been using Azureus for a while now and have just recently encountered a problem with my speed tests done through Azureus. When I try to conduct one the program tells me, "test failed, failed to connect to any peers, and something about insufficient upload slots with a question mark.. I have already configured a port, and configured a static ip for my pc so I don't have a nat problem. I just need some help with the speed test. Thanx.

y'know, I see other posts that have received replies today, If anyone can help out please leave a reply, I'm open to any suggestions you might have...so pleas.... don't be afraid to post a reply...even if your just directing me to a sight that might be able to help. I've googled this problem about 20 times with 20 different key word combos and it seems all I can get is nat and ip configs....I. don't. need. those. I'm ready to give up on a trusted piece of software that I've used for about 2 years, and it's a damned shame. Utorrent here I come.

I believe that error is on their end.
I have gotten that error at times and then at other times I am able to run the speed test.
Nothing changed in between on my end.
I have found the speed test within Azureus renders inaccurate results anyways.
I use the test referred to at Azureus wiki Good Settings.
(In fact you may not be able to access the wiki right now-apparently they are swamped because of Vuze and I believe are upgrading servers-which may also be the issue on the test)
Although, recently I have been using the Auto Speed (beta) with Azureus 3.0.2.2 and have been very pleased with it.

Thanx a lot man, I've been using utorrent for the past couple of days now and it's killing my bandwidth. When I try to surf the web and utorrent is in use... I might as well be using dial up!! I'm going to try auto speed too. Again, thanx.

I've just reinstalled Azureus installed the auto speed plugin and I'm STILL getting no upload speed at all on the speed test. And another thing is.... as long as I only have one active torrent I'll see a green smiley, whether dl.ing or ul.ing. But when I started a nother dl. my seeding torrent went blue. Idk what the hell's going on. Help please. Thank you.

On the auto speed, just to make sure, it is part of Azureus 3.0.2.2 under Tools/Options/Transfer/Auto Speed and should not be installed separate.
I am not sure why the single torrent, but you could check Tools/Options/Queue to see if you are set to allow more than one active torrent.
Getting no result on the speed test does not matter if you are getting good speeds.
I assume you are able to upload on torrents and are getting green NAT at least some of the time.
How have your speeds overall been?

Well, I've just checked my current uploading torrent and.....Big Surprise.... It was blue. Every now and then I'll see green, but just briefly. When a torrent is green on upload the speed is around 20 to 50 kB/sec. sometimes and sometimes I see green, but 0 B/sec. I used to have such a good connection, I mean Green ALL of the time, and now this!!! I've even gone as far as wiping my hd and starting over with factory settings but even THAT didn't work. I've gone to speedtest.net and scored 12559kb/s for download speed and 2025kb/s for upload!!!!! If you want to tell me how to display these results here I can show you. So it has to be a problem with my Azureus settings, or Asureus itself. Because if it was my firewall or something to do w/my network settings or whatever... That would have affected the speedtest.net results...right?? Maybe Vista has something to do with it?? Where it might be automaticly configuring Azureus or something...I'm so frustrated!!! Thanx for your replies and help though. I really appreciate it.

Since you forwarded a port, did you disable Tools/Options/Plugins/UPnP?
Have you run a Tools/NAT Firewall in Azureus?
Since you have a speed test result, you could try manual settings.
This is a calculator for Azureus U/L Settings Calculator.
However, you could also try uTorrent again, using the Options/Speed Guide or the figures from the calculator and adjust them on your own under Options/Preferences.
