does anybody know if you can get just one song off an album instead of downloading the whole album.??????

Yes. Most bittorrent clients have a way of doing that.

I have not used bittornado, but I think it is possible in it.
Not much of a help at their site, but in their forum, it says:

After the .torrent has started, Pause it and select "Details".
Right-click on the files you do not want and select "download never".

BTW it is very easy to do in uTorrent as it auto-pops up a screen when you load the torrent.
The screen is a listing all files in the torrent and you can tick the ones you want.
